Limit Distractions

Distractions are a leading cause of on-the-job injuries. Losing focus and being distracted, even for a moment, can result in a simple mistake like a dropped tool, or a life-threatening event like a struck-by injury. While it may not be possible to eliminate all distractions on the job, it’s important for workers to recognize when distractions are likely to happen and take steps to minimize them.
