Construction vs Industry
Construction Safety Topics vs. Industry Safety Topics
Inside your Members Area you will notice two main sections of weekly safety topics. Construction Safety Topics and Industry Safety Topics. The industry, projects and work environment of your organization may guide you towards one section or the other, but you are welcome to choose safety meeting topics from all industries if they are suitable for your needs.
Construction Safety Topics are better suited towards construction-related trades such as road construction, electrical work on new projects, utility contractors, framers, iron work, new plumbing work, pipefitters, HVAC, and concrete work. OSHA refers to these types of companies and organizations as Construction. All safety topics found in this section will reference the appropriate 29 CFR 1926 OSHA standard.
